The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it is alarmed about the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The status sassa provider stage created for intervention activities a large inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to permit the servicing of all prospects and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
